    Our opinion

"The Maradiva Villas Resort and Spa is surrounded by crystal clear lagoons and coral reefs, reflecting traditional Mauritian style".

    Hotel description

Overlooking the turquoise waters of Tamarin Bay, Maradiva Villas Resort & Spa is situated on the west coast of Mauritius. The resort’s architecture reflects traditional Mauritian style, whilst also drawing from colonial influences. The interior furnishings are Mauritian in flavour, using wood finishes, warm colours and low lighting to create an ambience of serene elegance. Surrounded by crystal clear lagoons and coral reefs, the resort is ideally placed for a variety of water activities including snorkelling, scuba diving, waterskiing and windsurfing. The Spa offers pampering in comfortable and peaceful surroundings and offers a broad range of treatments. The resort has a spacious sports centre that has the latest cardio and gym equipment, and personal trainers are also on hand, making this an ideal choice if you are looking for a hotel that balances relaxation with well-being. The resort also has a floodlit tennis course and offers access to an 18-hole golf course that is about 20 minutes from the hotel. A romantic atmosphere for intimate dining is created at Cilantro, the resort’s speciality restaurant, which offers a selection of Pan-Asian and Indian cuisine. Alternatively, guests can dine at Coast2Coast, the all day dining restaurant where Creole, Mediterranean and Continental dishes are served. Guest accommodation is in the luxurious villas, which have been built with an emphasis on rest and relaxation in complete privacy. They are spacious, with breathtaking views of the mountains and the lagoon, and have been furnished with Mauritian carvings and furniture to add local flavour, whilst remaining tranquil and elegant. Each villa has its own private pool and al-fresco dining area, which is perfect for a romantic dinner, or just for relaxing in splendid isolation during your holiday. The Luxury Suite Villas are especially spacious, with a separate living room and bedroom, and a large bath and rain shower that look out onto a lush private patio garden, where you can relax on a daybed by the side of your pool. Maradiva Villas is an excellent resort that is committed to relaxation and offers high standards of accommodation and facilities.
