Fine dining
Fine dining is an enjoyable part of any holiday abroad. Expressions Holidays features a very large number of luxury hotels that have outstanding restaurants. Many have one, two or three Michelin stars, and others offer fine, authentic regional cuisine. We can put together a special occasion with a stay at a Michelin-starred hotel or we can construct a tailor-made itinerary based on a variety of fine dining experiences in many countries.
Food appreciation
The food of a country reflects its character, history, traditions, religious heritage and geographic location. Food is a fundamental part of a holiday experience. Even today, when ‘international’ cuisine is seemingly ubiquitous, you can still experience myriad local flavours on our holidays. When we choose the hotels we work with, we are mindful of authenticity anyway, but we have also constructed holidays that have as their focus an appreciation of food, local produce and culinary traditions. These holidays might be a culinary voyage of Vietnam, a tea experience in Sri Lanka, truffle hunting in Piemonte, or olive oil tasting in Andalusia. All these holidays can be tailor-made.
Wine appreciation
Wine appreciation goes hand in hand with fine dining and an appreciation of local food traditions. Many wine-producing areas will also produce other fine produce, perhaps olive oil, fruit, cheese, vinegar, charcuterie, chocolate. With Expressions a wine appreciation holiday can be arranged in a variety of ways for you. We offer wine tours for small groups that operate for up to 14 people and are accompanied by a food and wine expert. We offer wine-tasting holidays for individuals, whereby we put together a tailor-made wine-based holiday according to your interests and level of knowledge. Finally, there are holidays that combine food and wine in a certain region with included visits to wineries, wine-tasting, some cookery and visits or tastings of local food.
Cookery holidays
Our cookery holidays operate for individuals and for small groups. We offer hands-on cookery courses aimed at people who want to combine an interest with improving their skills or learning more about a type of cookery. Some of the cookery holidays have set departure dates; others are completely tailor-made and can operate for just two people with as many lessons and visits as you want.
