Three new Grand Suites on the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express for 2020
Three new Grand Suites have been introduced on the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express for travel in 2020. The new suites are named Vienna, Prague and Budapest after iconic cities that the Orient Express travels to. This brings the total number of suites to 6 as they join Venice, Istanbul and Paris.
The Grand suites are the height of luxury with each suite containing a marble ensuite bathroom, double bed or twin beds as well as private living area and underfloor heating. The Grand suite experience also includes private in-cabin dining and a personal cabin steward.
The new suites are carefully designed to embody the cities after which they are named.
The Grand suite Prague uses rich golds and maroons to represent the striking nature of the Baroque and Gothic architecture of Prague. A combination of modern and traditional influences are shown in the balance between delicate embroidery and bold Cubist inspired mosaic patterns.
The Grand suite Vienna has a more ornate and classical design to reflect the city, famous for its historical landmarks. Gold and emerald tones, silk fabric wall panels and dark wood combine to create a traditional yet romantic ambience.
The Grand suite Budapest captures both Ottoman and Gothic influences with interiors that are filled with intricate patterns and rich silk embroidery.
The Venice Simplon Orient Express offers timeless luxury and elegance reminiscent of the romance of the twenties and thirties. Highly recommended for a memorable journey by rail through Europe.
