The Therasia Resort Sea and Spa has openend a new vegetarian restaurant
The Therasia Resort Sea and Spa on Vulcano is introducing a new vegetarian restaurant. The fourth restaurant at the resort, it will be open for dinner from 1 June 2019.
The new restaurant will serve a delicious array of vegetarian dishes that uses fresh, locally sourced vegetables. The chef Andrea Vicario has designed a creative menu featuring typical Aeolian ingredients such as capers, aubergine and tomato.
Signature dishes at the restaurant aim to illustrate the very best of the island and its produce. Dishes include ‘Mare’, a plate that combines puffed black potatoes, avocado puree and samphire and the ‘Taratare di pomodoro’, a dish made from fresh tomatoes served with seasoned croutons that recreate the typical Aeolian ‘pane cunzato’, a type of seasoned bread.
The Therasia Resort on Vulcano offers wonderful views out to sea and over the neighbouring Aeolian Islands. The combination of natural stone, terracotta tiles and traditional white-washed walls afford the hotel and airy and spacious atmosphere, perfect for relaxing after hours spent exploring the island. For those seeking to unwind and indulge there is also a well-equipped spa and wellness centre as well as a selection of bars and restaurants to choose from. A good choice for a tranquil retreat as part of a longer touring holiday of Sicily and the Aeolian Islands.
