A cookery holiday in Italy is an excellent way to combine your love of Italian food and wine with the opportunity to learn a new skill. Italian cookery courses allow you to learn how to create authentic Italian dishes under the careful guidance of a masterful local chef. We have developed a range of our cookery holidays which are set in authentic, traditional hotels in a choice of regions in Italy, where you can develop your culinary skills, learn about something you have a passion for, and have an enjoyable holiday at the same time.
Expressions Holidays offers cookery holidays in Sicily, Tuscany and Umbria: all regions renowned for their gastronomy with unique, traditional cooking methods, local produce and regional dishes. We have selected a charming hotel in each region which offers hands-on cookery lessons as well as excursions to local places of interest, such a local market, a farm, olive-oil or cheese producers and artisan bread makers. Cookery holidays for small groups (with a maximum of 6 participants) take place on set dates throughout the year, or we can tailor-make a cookery holiday for individuals (with a minimum of two cookery course participants) on the dates of your choice and including as many cookery sessions as you want. Transport is included by private transfer, mini-bus for a small group, or you can choose to have a hire-car if you want more independence for visiting the region during your stay.

Cookery holiday in Tuscany

This is a 4-night cookery holiday in Tuscany with hands-on cookery classes at the Relais Villa Belpoggio in Chianti, as well as a pasta-making class or a visit to an organic farm with tasting, a visit to a local market and time to visit nearby Arezzo. You join a small group of 4 or 6 people, but it can also be arranged for just 2 people, at a supplement.

Cookery holiday in Sicily

This is a 4-night cookery holiday in Sicily for a minimum of just 2 people, with two hands-on cookery classes at the 5-star Eremo della Giubiliana, on a country estate near Ragusa. During the cookery holiday you have time to visit the Baroque town of Ragusa and nearby Modica, setting for the Montalbano TV detective series. We can offer you private car transfers or the use of a hire-car.

Cookery holiday in Umbria

Discover the traditions of Umbrian cuisine and cookery with this 4-night holiday with hands-on cookery classes at the Villa di Monte Solare near Perugia plus wine-tasting, and two dinners. During your stay we recommend a visit to the historic cities of Perugia and Assisi. This holiday operates with 2-6 people on certain dates but can be operated for just 2 people on dates of your choice too.
