Al Andalus Lusitanian journey from Seville to Porto in 2022
Lusitania was an ancient Iberian province in the time of the Romans and covered the area of modern Portugal south of the Douro and the western part of Spain, Extremadura. The capital of Lusitania was Emerita Augusta, present-day Merida, visited on this holiday. Al Andalus, the luxury train that runs in Andalusia, offering elegant and comfortable overnight accommodation on the train with meals and excursions included along the route, will be operating the Lusitanian journey from Seville to Porto on 26 July 2022 and on 11 August 2022 the train operates from Porto to Seville. You spend three nights on the train, visiting Merida and Lisbon, as well as having excursions in Seville and Porto. In our holiday that includes this 3-night train journey, we have also included one night in Seville at the beginning, before you join the train, and one night in Porto at the end. These stays can be extended with additional nights in Seville or Porto or elsewhere in either region, perhaps adding in Granada or the Duero Valley. The price is £3,170 per person based on two people sharing a double or twin room/cabin. Flights from London to Seville and back from Porto to London are included.
