Luxury bespoke holidays and tours to Relais Villa d'Amelia, Piemonte
Secreted amidst 7 acres of hazelnut groves and parkland typical of Piemonte, the four star Relais Villa d'Amelia is a charmingly renovated 18th century estate. The hotel's traditional magenta exterior is traditional in the region, and, although situated less than a kilometre from the quaint village of Benevello, Relais Villa d'Amelia offers an undisturbed sense of seclusion and tranquillity, and breath-taking views of the Monviso Alps. In its transformation from estate to hotel, the hotel has not lost its traditional features, so still has its original exposed beams and tiled floors in the communal areas, but complements these with contemporary furnishings and amenities. The hotel's 37 rooms and suites are individually decorated in a way that maintains warm, yet neutral colours, but with interesting charcoal accents and coolly elegant marble bathrooms. Four-poster king beds crafted in a stylised design can be found in most suites, which makes them the perfect accommodation for couples, whilst family sleeping solutions may be found in the interconnecting superior rooms and offer a choice of king or twin beds. The hotel creates an inviting balance between the old and new, bringing comfort, tranquillity, and well-being to the forefront of its design. The hotel's Wellness Centre has a fitness area, Turkish bath, Finnish Sauna, and whirlpool where guests can see views of the Alps. The outdoor swimming pool is heated, so is available for use later in the year. Walking paths and mountain-biking routes vein the picturesque landscape around the hotel. Having built up an appetite, guests will find gastronomic bliss in the hotel's Michelin-starred restaurant which serves modern interpretations of local cuisine from seafood to locally grown vegetables and herbs. The bistro restaurant alternately offers a light and refreshing menu, and the bar offers a taste of the region through local wines and cocktails. From the borders of the extensive Relais Villa d'Amelia gardens, guests can easily reach the nearby town of Alba, known for its mediaeval towers, museums, and art galleries, wander through Piemonte's wine cellars, or head further out into the countryside in search of white truffles in autumn.

About Piemonte
An Expressions tailor-made holiday to Piemonte beckons lovers of wine and food, art and architecture and dramatic, natural but also gloriously cultivated landscapes. Piemonte is essentially a country region of alpine peaks in the north, flat rice-producing river valleys further south, rolling vineyards with attractive villages, forested hills dotted with mediaeval castles and almost at its centre the city of Turin, known throughout the world as a great industrial centre but in fact, outstandingly rich in architectural gems, both modern and in particular Baroque. North of Turin is the Parco Nazionale del Gran Paradiso, with miles of unspoiled natural scenery of mountain peaks and meadows, of rare wildlife and flowers. The splendid palaces, parks and hunting lodges of the Princes of Savoy can be visited in the countryside near Turin on your holiday. Our Piemonte hotels are situated in the remarkable wine-producing regions of the Langhe and Asti, renowned for their beautiful scenery, magnificent wines and fine gastronomy.
