Luxury bepoke holidays to Malliouhana, Anguilla
Perched on the rocky edge of a panoramic bluff on the north-western shore of the Caribbean island of Anguilla, the five star Malliouhana is the perfect coastal resort for appreciating the beauty of the Caribbean. The white-washed, red-roofed buildings look out across hidden, private coves and verdant sprigs of tropical vegetation. Stepped infinity pools take guests down from the canopied loungers at the top, to the most spectacular sea views below, seemingly bringing the turquoise sea closer still. Guests will initially enter through the unassuming, boutique-style front entrance, where light blue-green striped canopies lead you through simplistic arches into a quaint and characterful room decorated with large, classical paintings and authentic bronze scuba-diving masks. Sleek furnishings and an open-plan layout give the lobby a modern feel. The breezy ambience is continued down steps into charming seating areas with unique, intriguing furniture and wide panoramic verandas. Guestrooms have the same airy feel, with exceptionally high ceilings, crisp white sheets, plush seating areas, and a colour scheme of lemon and mint to complement the views across the ocean or the gardens. All rooms have private outdoor terraces or balconies with inviting hammocks. The Restaurant at Malliouhana specialises in seafood that could not be fresher, served with all the quality and style of Caribbean fine-dining, and in an ambience soothed by the gentle lapping of the sea, visible from the open-sided terrace. After dinner, move into the Sunset Bar, styled like a comfortable, exotic lounge, with bird-cage hanging lanterns and corner sofas spread with cushions. This is the perfect place to watch the sun go down behind the horizon, turning the water and the sky a deep orange. The Auberge Spa offers treatments based on indigenous healing traditions and the benefits of the local spices, herbs, and ingredients, in a naturally beautiful area surrounded by trees. Unwind after a morning in the sun with a cooling massage, yoga on the terrace or on a paddleboard, or a coconut milk and rum Island Drift foot soak. The nearby golden sand of Meads Bay Beach, and the idyllic, secluded Bobbing and Turtle Coves are prime sunspots for relaxation, swimming, and beach sports. Dive or snorkel in the clear waters, take sailing classes, or admire the views from the Cuisinart Golf Course, which goes right up to the sea edge and is dotted with pools and bunkers. The hotel also has fitness classes, tennis courts, kayaks, yoga classes, and artistic and cultural tours on foot or by bicycle, for more active guests. Enjoy long walks around the colourful neighbouring villages, topped with green, red, blue, and orange roofs, or to quaint nearby religious sites. The Malliouhana is a serenely-placed luxury resort, ideal for a long Caribbean holiday at any time of the year.

About Anguilla
An Expressions tailor-made holiday to Anguilla offers guests the chance to indulge in a relaxing beach holiday. As you approach Anguilla by air you notice a very flat, seemingly dry island of scrub and low bushes but also the vibrant hues of blue, green and turquoise of the surrounding sea contrasting with the white sand beaches that seem to stretch all around the island. Anguilla is a beach lover’s paradise and offers numerous water sports too: diving, snorkelling, sailing are all possible around its shores. As well as luxury hotels and resorts, Anguilla also has several excellent restaurants so dining out is an additional pleasure here. Signature spa treatments
Thermal Spring Sea Haven This 5-hour purification and slimming programme reduces fluid retention, assists in the elimination of toxins and improves skin tone and texture. Begin with a thalasso footbath to stimulate the lymphatic system, dry brushing and a Moor mud mask to stimulate metabolism and increase circulation. This is followed with a herbal bath, aromatic scalp massage, aromatherapy massage to promote decongestion and reduce fluid retention and a Ginseng and Pearl facial to refine contours.
Ocean Dream Aromatic oils are massaged into the scalp to nourish, balance and promote mental clarity. Next, warmed basalt stones are applied to the body to provide deeply penetrating heat to ease muscular fatigue and induce a profound state of relaxation. A personalised selection of traditional massage techniques completes this luxurious treatment.
Caribbean Coconut Body Masque Masques and wraps are superlative for detoxification, providing essential minerals and trace elements and optimum rehydration. A coconut sugar glaze provides superior moisturising properties and is ideal for dry skin. Whilst wrapped, enjoy a revitalising foot massage and complete the transformation with the application of a lotion rich in vitamins and minerals.
Ultimate Hydration Facial This combination of emollient blends and active ingredients extracted from desert chaparral, sunflower and shea oils and pro-vitamin B5 will optimise the natural moisture balance of the skin.
