A meandering driveway leads to the intimate country estate of Cape Lodge, set in its own vineyard. The stylish, colonial style low buildings are scattered through ten hectares of gardens, forests and lakes, providing a most stunning situation. The interiors throughout are bright and unfussy, creating a classic yet contemporary feel. The rooms and suites are spacious and luxurious furnished with earthy, natural colours. They are located in the original homestead and within the five detached wings that are spread throughout the grounds and encircle two lakes. A recent multi-million dollar upgrade of the lodge has included a superb new restaurant that sits over the main lake. Here guests can enjoy alfresco dining over the water, or for more intimate surroundings in the guest lounge. The restaurant is exclusive to guests and friends of the hotel, and meals are complemented by the vast temperature controlled wine cellar. The menu changes daily and makes use of the freshest local seasonal produce, and picnic baskets are also available to enjoy on a tour of the region or in the lodge's beautiful grounds. This is an exclusive retreat that is ideal for exploring this beautiful area of Western Australia.

The journey and how you get there

For a holiday to Cape Lodge near Margaret River, Expressions Holidays includes flights from London to Australia with British Airways or Qantas. Perth is the closest international airport, served by a wide variety of international airlines and we can include other airlines in your holiday. The chosen airline will depend upon any stopovers you might want to make en-route to Australia. From Perth you can fly to Margaret River (50 minutes) or you can drive. Cape Lodge is a 30-minute drive from Margaret River Airstrip, or just under a 3-hour drive south of Perth. Expressions Holidays recommends the use of a hire-car for visiting this hotel, and we will include that in the price of your holiday, although private car transfers can be provided as an alternative.
