Constance Belle Mare Plage is situated in tropical gardens on a two-kilometre stretch of white sand beach on the east coast of Mauritius. A sister hotel to the exclusive Prince Maurice, Belle Mare Plage was completely redeveloped to offer a wide choice of accommodation including bedrooms and villas, extensive leisure and sports facilities and use of two 18-hole championship golf courses. The resort skilfully combines a sense of style, luxury and wellbeing with carefully planned accommodation options to suit both couples and families. On arrival the immediate impact is impressive as you are greeted by a vast, attractive reception area overlooking the spacious main swimming pool. Nearby you will also find the main restaurant, La Citronnelle, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in a buffet-style food court. There is also a children's corner with a separate buffet. The Blue Penny, an exclusive and more intimate a la carte restaurant, boasts an extensive wine list. Other dining options include La Spiaggia, the beachside restaurant and bar set on a wooden deck area, and the Deer Hunter restaurant and bar which enjoys a view of the fairways and serves European and Thai cuisine, combined with Mauritian flavours. All-round service is evident at Belle Mare Plage with a beach service for snacks and drinks, afternoon tea on the terrace every day and 24-hour room service, which includes a late-night light menu. The resort offers a choice of hotel bedrooms of different sizes and a range of two- and three-bedroom villas, located on the other side of the resort to the hotel rooms. Whilst all rooms at the hotel are extremely tasteful, relaxing and furnished to very high standards, it is the villas that really set the resort apart. Very spacious with their own private terrace and small heated pool, villas either have one bedroom downstairs with indoor and outdoor bathrooms or one or two bedrooms upstairs, each with its own bathroom. There is a living and dining room and a small service kitchenette. The villas are not equipped to be self-catering but meals can be served in your villa; all arrangements for this are made by the personal 'villa master' attached to the property. Another attraction of Belle Mare Plage is the mini-club for children aged 4 to 11. It consists of a games room and playground and organises indoor and outdoor supervised activities daily. In addition to an extensive range of water sports, the hotel boasts close proximity to two 18-hole championship golf courses with green fees free for hotel guests.
