A development initiated by the architect of the nearby Heritage Golf course, Heritage the Villas offers homely villa-only accommodation in the lap of Mauritian luxury. With glorious views of the Indian Ocean and access to facilities belonging to the spread of Heritage properties, they propose a unique option for holidays to Mauritius. The 50 Heritage villas can be found in amongst 200 acres of tropical grounds within a 2500 hectare conservation area in the Domaine de Bel Ombre. Here, the natural landscape is varied and beautiful, from the lazy stretch of white sand beach and the tranquil turquoise lagoon, to the lush tropical landscape. The villas occupy a prime location sandwiched between the two, offering guests a deluxe home-from-home environment in which to enjoy the special natural environment. Spacious and comfortable, the villas blend home comforts with holiday luxury. The self-contained accommodation is practical, with self-catering facilities providing occupants with an independence that can be lacking when staying in a hotel. A personalised butler service ensures that guests need not cook for themselves. Breakfasts, lunches and dinners can be prepared by an in-villa chef and enjoyed in the comfort of private accommodation. Alternative dining arrangements are available within the nearby Heritage properties, which total 11 bars and restaurants. Seven Colours Spa facilities are also shared by neighbouring Heritage hotels.Residents receive the added benefit of unlimited free green fees at the 18-hole Heritage Golf course. For a holiday to Heritage The Villas in Mauritius, Expressions Holidays includes flights from London to Mauritius Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport with British Airways direct. The flying time is about 12 hours. There are flights with other international airlines, for example Air Mauritius from London both direct and via Paris or Amsterdam and Emirates with departures from London and UK regional airports via Dubai. Heritage The Villas is about 50 minutes by car from the airport and Expressions Holidays will arrange a private car transfer.

There are three excellent kids clubs: Timomo Baby Club opens from 8:30 - 6:30 daily and accepts children 0-2 years, Timomo Kids Club opens from 8:30 - 23:30 daily and accepts children 2-11 years, Teen's Club of Heritage Resorts opens from 8:30 - 23:30 daily and accepts teens aged 12-16 years. Children under the age of 2 stay free of charge and one baby cot can be placed in any room free of charge.

Family holidays at Heritage the Villas are made effortless by the independence that villa-only accommodation provides. An in-villa butler service allows families to enjoy the freedom of flexible dining times and tailored menus served in the comfort of guests' own private accommodation, while still retaining the option of dining in one of the resort's 11 restaurants. Leisure activities can be pursued on the beach, including kayaking and windsurfing, and in the nearby nature reserve for a look into the wonders of inland Mauritius. A kids' club and childcare services are available on site to allow parents a peaceful few hours in the Heritage Spa, on the nearby 18-hole golf course, or on a deep sea fishing trip.

Children's clubs

Timono and Friends Kids' Club is located at the nearby Heritage Le Telfair and is open from 8.30am to 11.30pm daily. Children aged from 2 to 11 years old can participate in an array of activities, excursions and creative workshops that are age-appropriate. The facilities here include computer stations, video games and arts and crafts facilities. There is also a Timono and Friends Kids' Club at Heritage Awali for 3 to 11 year olds, which is open from 8.30am to 11pm. The Cool Teens' Club is located at the C Beach Club and offers an exclusive space for 12 to 18 year olds. This space features WiFi, Wii games consoles and a pool table.

A babysitting service is available on request at an added cost.

Children's entertainment

The resort offers a kids' club and a teens' club as well as sports centres. In-room there is also a satellite TV and complimentary WiFi to keep youngsters entertained.

The nearest hospital is 50 minutes by car from the villas.

Family dining

Families can enjoy breakfast at Le Chateau de Bel Ombre or in-villa. Dinner times can be spent at one of 11 restaurants across the Heritage Resorts, or you can dine on site and in-villa thanks to the personal chef service. There is also a 24-hour traiteur service, which delivers meals at any time of day. Alternatively, each villa has a fully equipped kitchen for families to self cater.

Family rooms

Two Bedroom Pool Villas are ideal for families, with a maximum occupancy of 4 individuals in the two rooms. An additional infant can stay as well, and baby cots are available on request. Three Bedroom Pool Villas can accommodate 6 people and an infant in a cot and Four Bedroom Pool Villas can accommodate 8 people and an infant in a cot. The villas are fully self-contained and offer self-catering facilities for optimum independence.
