The Château de Berne estate covers 650 hectares of woodland and vineyards, and their wine is exported worldwide. Guests at the Auberge can take advantage of the more specialist aspects of the estate (wine cellar, museum, and open-air theatre) or simply relax in the luxurious surroundings and beauty of Provence. With just 27 rooms and suites, a feeling of intimacy and cosiness reigns at the Auberge. The spacious and elegant rooms are individually decorated using local materials, and all benefit from a balcony or sun terrace as well as a comfortable living area in the room. Special thought has been given to the little details that complete a stay at this lovely property; all rooms have hi-fi equipment and video, a working fireplace for cosy winter stays, and the items from the mini-bar are complimentary. The journey and how you get there
For a holiday to Chateau de Berne, our clients fly to Nice (or Marseille) and then usually have the use of a hire-car for the duration of the holiday, or they arrive in their own car on a self-drive holiday, often as part of a multi-centre touring holiday (we would include a Eurotunnel crossing or a ferry crossing, depending on the itinerary), or they arrive by train, having taken the Eurostar London to Paris or Lille, and then the TGV to Avignon, Aix-en-Provence or Nice. On some dates there is a direct service of the Eurostar from London to Avignon. From the railway station, if you are visiting more than one hotel or want to explore the region, we recommend having a hire-car. We will arrange this for you.
