Luxury bespoke hotel holidays to Chateau Saint-Roux, Provence.
The Chateau Saint-Roux was once an 15th century farm but has since become the gorgeous Gite and B&B, with vineyard, it is today. The building, charmingly salmon in colour, looks out onto the lush greenery of the Provencal countryside. The twelve rooms and apartments evoke a feeling of bucolic simplicity. Furthermore, a stay at the hotel is marked not only by relaxation but exploration. One can visit the wine cellar and be guided through a tasting session by an expert or sommelier, visit the boutique/café to peruse the cornucopia of organic delights brought forth by the estate and local producers, or meet the animals of the mini farm. The bakery’s wood-fired oven is truly special, being the only of its kind within the region, and the head baker can guide you through the making of a delicious baguette. Responsible cuisine is a key highlight of La Table, with the menus always adapting to what’s available in the kitchen garden. There are bountiful opportunities, likewise, in the area surrounding the chateau, to indulge in areas of natural beauty, including the Lac des Escarcets and the Massif des Maures, and local sports include hiking, cycling, canoeing, golf, and more.
