Luxury bespoke hotel holidays to Hotel & Spa Régent Petite France, Strasbourg
The 5-star Hotel Régent Petite France occupies a former mill dating from the 17th century, where the Glacières of Strasbourg were housed, producing blocks of ice for shops, breweries and private households all over the city and Alsace. Its waterside location in the Petite France quartier of Strasbourg is enchanting, surrounded as it is by beautiful, half-timbered houses originating in the 16th and 17th centuries, once occupied by millers and tanners. From here it is a walk of 5 to 10 minutes to the heart of the city, the Place Kléber and the cathedral. The hotel opened in 1992 and with its 75 bedrooms, bar and restaurant, combines tradition and modernity. The Pont Tournant restaurant serves breakfast every day and dinner from Tuesdays to Saturdays. There is an atmospheric terrace overlooking the waters of the River Ill where dinner is served in the summer months. Relax and enjoy a drink or a simple dish in the Bar Champagne with its views of the old locks and picture windows that overlook the water. The bedrooms vary in size but all are decorated in a classic way with splashes of pattern and colour. Many rooms have views over the Petite France quartier and some have a balcony. This is an elegant and comfortable hotel in a superb position from which to appreciate the architecture, history and traditions of this fascinating city.

About Alsace
An Expressions tailor-made holiday to Alsace enables you to visit both the northern Vosges and the cultivated quaintness of the Alsatian Wine Road during your holiday in the region. With its combination of stunning natural scenery in the wooded hills and valleys of the Vosges mountains, with ruins of mediaeval fortresses and fortified villages, with gently sloping vineyards facing the Rhine valley and with fairy-tale like towns of pretty half-timbered houses and cobbled streets, Alsace is a region well worth visiting. Standing at the crossroads of Europe, Alsace encapsulates an unmistakeably European flavour where historic and cultural influences of its French and German neighbours have created a unique atmosphere with an independent character and great traditions.
Highlights of Alsace
Sample Choucroute and Gugelhupf, Wine and Beer, the Cherry festivals in May, the festival of Son et Lumiere at Strasbourg cathedral in the summer, the Wine festivals in the autumn, and the Christmas markets towards the end of the year.
