We particularly loved the Hotel del Sogno on Lake Garda for its character, beauty and amazing views. Great service too from the reception staff. Also they gave us great recommendations for restaurants.Mr and Mrs S, June 2023

Luxury bespoke hotel holidays to Hotel Régent Contades, Strasbourg
The grand façade of the Hotel Régent Contades gives the impression of a larger hotel than the reality. Dating from the 19th Century this architectural gem in neoclassical style built in pink Vosges sandstone has just 48 bedrooms, junior suites and suites. The atmosphere is cosy and welcoming typified by the wood-panelled Regency bar where the rich mahogany is offset by the warmly coloured fabrics. The main lounge is refined and elegant with comfortable chairs and discreet lighting so that you can sit and read, resting in between exploring this fascinating city which is on your doorstep. There is no restaurant here but there are so many of different flavours and styles, both Alsatian and classically-French, within a few minutes’ walk. The bedrooms overlook the River Ill and the Avenue de la Liberté and have all been refurbished to reflect a modern elegance that is comfortable and stylish. The rooms vary in size but they are equipped in the same way. This is a classically comfortable city centre hotel with historic grandeur and charm.

About Alsace
An Expressions tailor-made holiday to Alsace enables you to visit both the northern Vosges and the cultivated quaintness of the Alsatian Wine Road during your holiday in the region. With its combination of stunning natural scenery in the wooded hills and valleys of the Vosges mountains, with ruins of mediaeval fortresses and fortified villages, with gently sloping vineyards facing the Rhine valley and with fairy-tale like towns of pretty half-timbered houses and cobbled streets, Alsace is a region well worth visiting. Standing at the crossroads of Europe, Alsace encapsulates an unmistakeably European flavour where historic and cultural influences of its French and German neighbours have created a unique atmosphere with an independent character and great traditions.
Highlights of Alsace
Sample Choucroute and Gugelhupf, Wine and Beer, the Cherry festivals in May, the festival of Son et Lumiere at Strasbourg cathedral in the summer, the Wine festivals in the autumn, and the Christmas markets towards the end of the year.
