The Hotel Montalembert is a charming, refined and elegant boutique 5-star hotel with 50 rooms and suites, located between the Boulevard Saint Germain and the River Seine, which is about 6 minutes’ walk away. The hotel occupies an elegant 1920s building just off the Rue du Bac which was renovated and refurbished in 2016 and 2017. The style is welcoming and comfortable, relaxing and refined, with elegant modern and period furniture. Colours are calming and neutral with splashes of colour in rugs, armchairs and throws. Unusually for a boutique city hotel, there is a restaurant serving both inside and outside on a terrace, as well as a bar and lounge with open fire-place. The 50 bedrooms and suites vary in size, but some deluxe and junior suites have a balcony and view of the Eiffel Tower. Some rooms interconnect. The hotel’s concierge can arrange restaurant reservations, tickets to the ballet and concerts, and to major art exhibitions.

The journey and how you get there

A stay at the Hotel Montalembert is usually for a short break to Paris of 3 or 4 days or as a one-night stop as part of a multi-centre or touring holiday of France or Europe, usually by train. If you arrive by Eurostar at the Gare du Nord, the Hotel Montalembert is about 30 minutes away by taxi. There is the RER train from Paris Nord to Saint-Germain-des-Pres and then you can connect on the metro line 12 towards Mairie d’Issy and get off at the Rue du Bac.
