This 5-night luxury vinotherapy spa holiday is based at the award-winning and exclusive Les Sources de Caudalie, a boutique 5-star hotel with just 43 rooms and suites and a vinotherapy spa. This was the world’s first vinotherapy spa and is situated amidst the Grand Cru vineyards of Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte. Here you will discover exclusive treatments combining the soothing nature of hydrotherapy with the anti-oxidant properties of grapes. In this holiday of five nights we have included a 3-course dinner on the first evening in the Table du Lavoir country restaurant, then on another day of your choosing a wine-tasting and also a half-day Vine ritual consisting of a 15-minute bath or wrap, a 35-minute crushed cabernet scrub followed by a 20-minute warm oil massage, and a 50-minute facial treatment. The rest of the time is yours to enjoy the other facilities of the Sources de Caudalie; perhaps have another spa treatment, swim in the outdoor or indoor pool depending on the season, relax in the outdoor jacuzzi that is open all year round and fed by spring waters from 540 metres under the ground, take a bike to ride through the neighbouring vineyards and woods, work out in the gym, play tennis or treat yourself to a coaching session. The hotel has two restaurants, one being the Table du Lavoir where we include a dinner on the first evening, and the other is the two Michelin-starred restaurant called La Grand’Vigne.

You fly with British Airways from London Gatwick to Bordeaux and collect your hire-car. The hotel is about 20 minutes’ drive from the airport. Check-in and spend the rest of the day exploring your new surroundings. Tonight, we have included a 3-course dinner at the country restaurant, the Table du Lavoir.
You have four days to relax at Les Sources de Caudalie, making the most of the range of luxurious facilities available. About Bordeaux Region
An Expressions tailor-made holiday to Bordeaux is a chance to explore a region renowned the world over for its wines and its awe-inspiring chateaux, whilst Cognac is less explored yet holds a countless store of treasures waiting to be appreciated. The Bordeaux region is ideal for short breaks and touring holidays with a range of sights to discover. Cognac country is a perfect destination for the discerning traveller as it is still relatively unknown yet is within very easy reach of more popular areas such as the coastal resorts between La Rochelle and Royan about 30 minutes` drive to the west, the Medoc and Saint Emilion vineyards about 45 minutes` drive to the south and the intriguing Marais Poitevin about an hour`s drive to the north. Moreover, the cuisine has a character of its own, utilising cognac, pineau and Marennes oysters. A holiday to the Bordeaux and Cognac regions is highly recommended. A fantastic way to discover the region is to incorporate it into a self-drive touring holiday, flying to Bordeaux and then exploring this area as well as the Basque Country and Carcassonne by hire-car.
